Styled as a traction crucifix with a ‘gypsy’ star set faceted round Garnet to the centre and intricate detailing got all four arms of the cross which allows the 9ct rose gold to glimmer through providing a lovely contrast with the higher carat blooming

Antique Australian Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold ‘Kewpie’ Charm Pendant Circa 1910 Melbourne and manufactured circa 1915Absolutely adorable antique 9ct rose gold Kewpie dating to around 1910 or thereabouts. Invented by cartoonist Rosie ONeill around 1909 and quickly becoming an international sensation including in Australia where this particular example would have been manufactured given the style and type of 9ct marks to the verso. Crafted from 9ct rose gold which would have been originally fire gilded over the 9ct rose gold in order to give it a buttery matte yellow
